Here is the second installment of my series "Dear White Teachers." This one talks about white privilege. I know that word makes folks pretty uneasy. As white people, we don’t like hearing the term “white.” It makes us uncomfortable being defined by our race. And secondly, we don’t like the word “privilege” because it makes us feel like we’ve never struggled, like we don’t work hard. But, you can't really talk about racism without coming to terms with white privilege. So, let's do it!
